Description

San Pedro (Echinopsis pachanoi) Huachuma is a revered plant teacher by many tribes in South America dating back to 2,000 years. In Peru, the sacred cactus is referred to as β€œGrand father teacher” where Ayhuasca is β€œMother teacher”. Pedro is similar to Peyote in that they both contain mescaline however they are unique in their own as all plants are. Research shows mescaline binds the serotonin receptors and stimulates the dopamine receptors. The mescaline in Pedro, is a phenethylamine and is chemically related to MDMA [ecstasy], while LSD, DMT [the main compound in ayahuasca] and psilocybin [the main compound in mushrooms] are in the tryptamine family. Mescaline is unique among the major hallucinogens in that it is a phenethylamine..

San Pedro can produce visions just like ayahuasca can… micro-dosing it has the feel-good happiness of MDMA, with a shroom-like quality of feeling like a child while at the same time being slightly less scary, less jarring, and more loving than either aya or mushrooms.

Mescaline itself is nontoxic. And, while there are few studies done on huachuma itself, a Harvard Medical School studythat investigated the long-term effects of regular peyote use among members of the Native American Church found β€œno evidence of psychological or cognitive deficits” at all.

Dosage:

A ceremony dose of Pedro varies because all the plants contain different amounts of Mescaline. It can be anywhere from 15gm to 50gm.

Start with 4 TBS of dried powder, mix with cold water and lemon and drink. Wait 30 minutes and depending on how you feel increase dosage with another 4 TBS. 8TBS is considered a full dose in Peru (about 27gm)

If your doing a ceremony of 27gm, pour a little powder in water at a time because the water gets a really thick consistency like jelly and can be hard to take down. I personally like to break it up in increments, dividing the powder into 3 parts and drinking each part with a glass of water otherwise I find it too hard to take down.

It can make you nauseous for the first couple hours. If this happens try to be still and use your mind to control yourself from throwing up. Lay down for a bit and channel your thoughts to something positive. Usually this works and the nauseous will pass. After that its 9-12 beautiful hours.

Effects last 9-12 hours and it can be very hard to go to sleep on mescaline so take early in the day unless you want to be up all night. As with all psychedelics, take on an empty stomach. Do not drive or be in a public place with a regular large dose. Drinking dried cactus powder is much different than drinking fresh cactus, it will be less potent and lighter effects this is why you have to drink a lot.

Ceremony doses:

1-17 G- Micro-dose and light ceremonial experience

17 G – small – med ceremonial dose

27 G – recommended dose for a ceremony per person

Best if taken on an empty stomach in the morning. Lasts 9-12 hours

Our San pedro cactus is sustainably sourced from Peru

Everything is fresh. The powder will last 1-2 years.Β  Store in a cool dark place. They will lose potency over time. Light, oxygen and heat will degrade the powder.

You can mix this powder with any of the other micro-doses there are no counteractions. Do not mix with SSRI’s. Consult your doctor if you are on medication.
