Description

Lion’s Brain Microdose Stack is a cutting-edge formulation inspired by Paul Stamets’ renowned Stamets Stack, designed to promote neuroplasticity, cognitive performance, and overall brain health. Combining Psilocybin cubensis, Lion’s Mane mushroom, and Niacin (Vitamin B3), this stack leverages both traditional wisdom and modern research to support mental clarity, creativity, and long-term neural health.

Ingredients and Their Research-Backed Benefits

1. Psilocybin cubensis (Medicinal Mushroom Powder, 300 mg)

  • Active Compound: Psilocybin, a naturally occurring psychedelic known for its potential to promote neurogenesis and enhance neuroplasticity.
  • Research Highlights:
    • Psilocybin has been shown to encourage the growth of new neural connections, which may enhance cognitive flexibility and emotional processing.
    • Studies suggest that psilocybin can help “reset” the brain’s default mode network (DMN), reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
    • It supports introspection and creativity by enhancing connectivity between brain regions involved in mood and cognition.

2. Lion’s Mane Mushroom (Hericium erinaceus, 350 mg)

  • Active Compounds: Erinacines and hericenones, which stimulate the production of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF).
  • Research Highlights:
    • Lion’s Mane is renowned for its ability to support the regeneration and repair of neurons, improving memory and cognitive function.
    • Studies have demonstrated its potential to delay or reverse neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
    • It complements psilocybin by promoting long-term neural repair and enhancing the effects of neuroplasticity.

3. Niacin (Vitamin B3, 150 mg)

  • Role in the Stack: Niacin improves blood flow, aiding in the delivery of psilocybin and Lion’s Mane to the brain’s peripheral areas.
  • Research Highlights:
    • Niacin supports healthy circulation and cellular energy production, essential for brain health.
    • Its “flushing” effect ensures optimal distribution of active compounds, while its role in detoxification supports the overall health of neural pathways.

Benefits of the Lion’s Brain Stack

  1. Enhanced Neuroplasticity:
    • The combination of psilocybin and Lion’s Mane fosters the growth of new neural pathways, promoting learning, memory, and adaptability.
  2. Improved Cognitive Function:
    • Lion’s Mane supports memory and focus, while psilocybin enhances creativity and problem-solving.
  3. Emotional Regulation and Mental Clarity:
    • Psilocybin’s effects on the DMN may reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, helping create emotional balance.
  4. Synergistic Circulation Support:
    • Niacin amplifies the bioavailability of psilocybin and Lion’s Mane, ensuring effective delivery to the brain.

Scientific Studies Supporting This Stack

  • Psilocybin Research:
    • A 2016 study published in Nature showed that psilocybin-assisted therapy resulted in reduced anxiety and depression in patients with life-threatening illnesses, attributed to psilocybin’s effects on neuroplasticity.
    • Research from Neuron (2022) demonstrated psilocybin’s role in promoting synaptogenesis, the formation of new synaptic connections in the brain.
  • Lion’s Mane Research:
    • A study in Biomedical Research (2011) found that Lion’s Mane supplementation improved mild cognitive impairment in older adults over a 16-week period.
    • Research published in Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry (2009) highlighted its neuroprotective effects, particularly its ability to stimulate NGF synthesis.
  • Niacin Research:
    • A 2013 study in Current Opinion in Lipidology emphasized the importance of niacin for vascular health and blood flow, crucial for delivering nutrients to brain tissues.

How to Use

Take one capsule daily for 3 days then take 2 days off, on a light or empty stomach, as part of a micro-dosing protocol. For optimal results, use consistently and pair with mindfulness practices or creative activities.

Cautions

  • Consult a healthcare provider before use, especially if you are taking medications that influence serotonin or are managing psychiatric conditions.

Study on the Stamets Stack

The study on the “Stamets Stack,” which combines psilocybin, lion’s mane mushrooms, and niacin (vitamin B3), has shown promising results for improving mental health and psychomotor performance. Conducted by researchers and published in Scientific Reports, the study followed 953 microdosers and 180 non-microdosers over 30 days. The participants who microdosed exhibited greater improvements in mood, mental health, and psychomotor skills compared to those who did not microdose

In particular, the combination of psilocybin, lion’s mane, and niacin was found to enhance psychomotor performance significantly, especially in individuals over 55. The study suggests that this stack may help prevent cognitive decline in older adults and could offer other neurological benefits

Here is a link to the study Scientific reportsΒ

When this study was done they also tested micro-dosers who were using just plain psilocybin and the results were significantly different and the Stamets stack blew the others out of the water for the motor skills test. He said he tested motor skills because It’s the best way to test the brain andΒ cognitive deterioration.

Take breaks as you build a tolerance to all entheogens.
